1. What is AB?

AB stands for “Aurora Borealis” which is a special finish developed by Swarovski that gives an increased glimmer to the stones. This is available in Crystal and in various colors particularly in the 5301/5328 bicone. In the last 5 years Swarovski has introduced “AB 2x” which is an extra thick AB finish that is available in some styles at additional cost. Swarovski has other finishes most of which are shown on our list as separate ‘colors’ (ex. Crystal

Copper, Crystal Volcano, Vitrail Light, Vitrail Medium and others)

2. What is Satin?

the SATIN finish is a very unique color which may or may not qualify as a finish by some.  This is not an external finish like AB and the others mentioned above, but rather a deeper more saturated look inside the stone that is produced by Swarovski when the crystal is manufactured. 

3. Why can’t I get my favorite color in all sizes?

Swarovski does not produce all colors in all styles and sizes. A good example of this is the #5601 Cube where a full range of colors is available in sizes 4mm, 6mm and 8mm but is only available in Crystal and Crystal AB in 10mm and 12mm.

We do our best to offer one of the best Swarovski selections anywhere but no single dealer can offer all the Swarovski styles and colors all the time as Swarovski produces over 20,000 unique items. We are regularly bringing in new stock though if Swarovski does not have the item for immediate shipment it gets sent for production. This can take 1-4 weeks (or more for items not in regular production). Some popular items are produced weekly – others are produced only once or twice a year on what can be an unpredictable schedule. Accordingly while we can get many items quickly we cannot guarantee any particular items will be available on an urgent / rush basis. However you can be assured that we will do our best to fulfill your order as quickly as possible. When in doubt it is best to check availability before ordering.

4. What does 5301 / 5328 and 2012 / 2028 mean?

Swarovski has redesigned the shape of the facets on various colors to produce a brighter stone. Thus #2000 has been phased out in favor of #2012 which in turn is gradually being phased out in favor of the new #2028 style. In a similar fashion in early 2009 Swarovski introduced style # 5328 which is expected over the next five years to phase out the extremely popular style #5301

5. Can I get smaller quantities?

Smaller quantities are available in the store in most stones at a higher per piece price than we are able to offer in our wholesale quantity packages
